New York City FC stars David Villa and Andrea Pirlo helped unveil the club's new kit on Tuesday - by taking to the streets of the Big Apple. The
World Cup-winning duo, along with midfielder Kwadwo Poku, took to the
five boroughs to give fans a first glimpse of the new shirt, which is
dividing opinions on social media.
The new shirt features a dark
blue base with a lighter blue ripple pattern, which according to the
club's official website "takes its inspiration from the vibrant, energy
of New York City".
At the epicentre of the effect is the club
crest, while, additionally, on the interior neck tape comes the words
"this city never sleeps".
