Roberto Firmino has been criticised by Liverpool legend John Aldridge for his performance in the Reds' loss to Newcastle.
The Brazilian failed to make an impact throughout the match and was withdrawn after just an hour of the 2-0 defeat.
Aldridge
singled out a moment during the match when Firmino pulled out of a
winnable challenge and claimed supporters won't accept seeing players do
that.
"Roberto Firmino is playing as if something is wrong,
mentally and physically. He’s been absolutely redundant the last two
games after such a great display at Man City," Aldridge wrote in his Liverpool Echo column. "It can’t just be the fact his mate Coutinho has been missing.
