Arsene Wenger identifies two France internationals to bolster squad this summer

Arsene Wenger is actively working on Arsenal signings for next season and has two France stars at the top of his list.
In the clearest indication that Wenger will sign a new deal and stay at the Emirates, Wenger has been in personal contact with agents in France about future recruits. When asked about his future, Wenger replied that the phone call was an answer in itself.

The signs are Wenger will stay and attempt a major overhaul of his squad. Top of his wanted list are Alexandre Lacazette of Olympique Lyon and Benjamin Mendy of Monaco.
Mendy, 22, has excelled in AS Monaco’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League – will cost around £25 million.

He has recently been capped by France and is regarded as one of the most promising attacking full-backs in Europe.
