Ruud Gullit has blasted Manchester United star Memphis Depay for his celebrity lifestyle. The former Dutch superstar insists he is a Memphis
admirer, but says he’s shocked by the 22-year-old’s off-the-pitch
antics following his £25million summer move from PSV Eindhoven.
“I am
a fan, and I will keep my faith in him but he must do something about
the fact that he has been labelled the worst buy in the Premier League
in 2015,” said former Chelsea boss Gullit.
“He needs to deliver.
He has a lot of qualities, but to fulfill his potential he has to stay
low-key in his personal life. If you don’t perform, you must not turn up
in a brand new Rolls Royce and a new Hummer at the training ground.”
Memphis, who has scored just two Premier League goals so far, has been parading his black Rolls Royce Phantom around Manchester and has also used it to visit nightclubs in Rotterdam on trips home to Holland.
