Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has expressed his pride in midfielder Harry Arter after he starred in the Cherries 2-1 victory over Manchester United following the death of his daughter in midweek.
The 25-year-old and his partner lost their child at birth, but he was adamant he wanted to play in the match.
He started the game and was substituted four minutes from time, becoming visibly emotional as he was booked by the referee.
The
Republic of Ireland international was ushered to the sidelines by
teammates, before being embraced by Howe at the full-time whistle.
Howe admitted it was an emotional dressing room following the win.
